Source of truth

The artifacts in this repository are the spec. Edit config.schema.json and precisions.json here, and treat them as authoritative for every published config.json.

Versioning

The schema is referenced by $schema from every config.json in the ecosystem. Breaking changes get a new $id URL and the old one stays available so existing files continue to validate.
